The Process

QuantWare is a Netherlands based quantum computing company that is democratizing accessibility to quantum technology. In July 2021 QuantWare publicly launched, releasing their initial product lineup.

Identifying key aesthetics and target markets, we created a sleek, streamlined brand that speaks to the futuristic edge QuantWare brings to the industry. After creating a thorough style guide to accompany the startup through growth, we designed robust UI for an MVP website, which we custom developed on WebFlow for easy end-user access.

Research & Inspiration

In crafting the branding for this distinguished team, we wanted to convey an optimism and brightness, which would pop in a dark mode theme. We felt drawn to playing with neon colors and accent lines, also exploring mooth, futuristic textures, mirroring the sleekness and innovation found in modern space travel. Extensive research into contemporary design trends, the psychological impact of high contrast color palettes, and the tactile feel of futuristic materials informed our creative process.

Branding

We embraced a vision that reflects QuantWare’s pioneering spirit. The design harmonizes minimalism with a sophisticated, dynamic edge. We chose a palette of deep, resonant tones accented with vibrant neon, conjuring a sense of innovation and boundless potential. This dark-themed branding, complemented by futuristic textures, subtly nods to the vast expanse of space, symbolizing the limitless possibilities of their cutting-edge product line.

Our team meticulously crafted content, diagrams, and product renders that position their state-of-the-art hardware as not just tools, but beacons of the future. The user interface was designed to be straightforward, clean, and product-centric, ensuring an intuitive user experience.

While we didn't design the logo, we recolored it and coupled it with a sleek word mark, ensuring seamless integration across various platforms. Every asset and texture was carefully selected and designed to create an ambiance that felt right to our clients.

UI/UX

Our journey began with an in-depth affinity mapping exercise. This process was instrumental in pinpointing key goals, user scenarios, and innovative solutions. From there, I developed a streamlined MVP website design, emphasizing a product-forward approach. The primary call-to-action (CTA) was strategically placed to guide users towards learning about the products as an intuitive first step, ensuring a natural flow of discovery.

Recognizing the importance of talent acquisition for our client, a robust careers section was also crafted. This feature was not only designed for visual appeal but also for functionality, allowing the client to autonomously manage and update their job listings.

My talented graphic design partner, Julia Howard, brought the visuals to life.

Progressing from the initial wireframes, I transformed these foundational blueprints into high-fidelity UI designs. Special attention was paid to the layout, creating a visual flow that guides the user’s gaze intuitively through the content.

For a cohesive and uninterrupted user experience, we opted for a solid background and a fluid scrolling. Animations, fonts and graphics are consistent throughout the site. This approach crafts an environment that is both engaging and seamless.

Collaboration with the QuantWare team was key throughout this process. We iterated together, meticulously adjusting every element until the aesthetics, functionality, and brand messaging harmonized perfectly.

The end result is a website that continues to evolving in tandem with QuantWare’s growth.
